Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the TerraInk mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TerraInk is a mobile application that lets you create customisable map posters by combining map tiles, typography, and colour themes. You can export and share your creations as image files.

3. Licence to Use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms.

4. Your Content & Exported Posters

Posters you create belong to you. You may use them for personal purposes freely. If you use exported posters commercially (for sale, merchandise, or distribution), you are responsible for complying with the attribution requirements of the underlying map data providers — see section 5.

5. Map Data Attribution

Map tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap. The underlying geographic data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). When you publish or share posters generated by TerraInk, you should credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors" where reasonably practical.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Abuse or overload the third-party services the App relies on (OpenFreeMap, Nominatim)
• Remove or obscure any proprietary notices in the App

7. Third-Party Services

The App depends on third-party services (map tiles, geocoding, app distribution). Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that map data is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Do not use posters generated by TerraInk for navigation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TerraInk and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Changes to the App & Terms

We may update the App and these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
