TerraInk is a mobile app for creating customisable map posters. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

2. What We Collect

TerraInk does not require an account and does not collect personal data on our servers. All poster customisations (themes, fonts, text, layer settings) are stored locally on your device.

If you grant location permission, your device's current coordinates are used only to centre the map on your location. These coordinates are not transmitted to TerraInk and are not stored.

3. Third-Party Services

TerraInk uses the following third-party services to render maps and search for places:

• OpenFreeMap — vector map tiles
• Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — location search and geocoding
• Expo / EAS — app distribution and updates

When you search for a place or pan the map, the relevant query is sent to these services, which may log standard request metadata (such as IP address) under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data.

4. Permissions

• Location — optional, used only to centre the map on your current position
• Photos / Media — optional, used only when you save or share an exported poster

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings.

5. Data Storage

All app preferences and poster settings are kept locally on your device. TerraInk does not operate a user database and does not store personal data on remote servers.

6. Children's Privacy

TerraInk is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
